During the cropping season, these pumps operate continuously, showing how important proper installation, operation, and maintenance of pumps are for smooth agricultural activities.
2. Water Resource Management
Since irrigation depends mainly on groundwater, there is a high level of water extraction. This highlights the need for efficient water management practices, such as reducing water wastage, using energy-efficient pumps, and improving drainage systems to prevent problems like waterlogging and soil damage.
3. Rural Electrical Infrastructure
Electric motors used for irrigation are powered by rural electricity connections. Observing these systems helped in understanding load distribution, power reliability, and electrical safety in village areas. It also showed the challenges faced due to power cuts and voltage fluctuations.
4. Drainage System and Field Layout
The agricultural fields are well-planned with bunds and small water channels to control water flow.
