Description

Dandi is a small, peaceful village near Baderwah in the Doda district of Jammu & Kashmir. Surrounded by green hills, forests, and mountain streams, the village has a very raw, untouched pahadi vibe. Life here is simple and slow—people are mostly engaged in farming, cattle rearing, and small local work.

The area is known for its cool climate, especially pleasant in summers, while winters can be quite cold with occasional snowfall nearby. From Dandi, you get beautiful views of the Chenab valley region, dense pine trees, and open meadows that look insane during spring and monsoon.

Culturally, the village reflects the Baderwahi lifestyle—simple homes, close-knit community, traditional food, and strong respect for nature. It’s not a tourist-heavy place, which actually makes it more special: quiet, clean air, no noise, no chaos.

Basically, Dandi is the kind of place where nature dominates and humans just exist peacefully, far from city drama.
