The Village Gurha Brahmna is located in Akhnoor tehsil of jammu district in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is governed by Gurha Brahmna Gram Panchayat. It comes under Akhnoor Community Development Block. The nearest town is Akhnoor, which is about 4 kilometers away from Gurha Brahmna, nestled along the banks of the Chenab River which adds natural beauty in the village. The village is surrounded with lush green fields which refresh the minds of the people visiting in the village. In Gurha Brahmna Village there are some military legends monuments also bulid to remember the memory of the legends. Gurha Brahmna Village has now slowly adapting to the changes brought about by modernization and urbanization. In this village there are some other small villages also like pattari, mawa karorara, Bale Bagh, etc.

Gurha Brahmna village was named as Gurha Brahmna because most of the people in the village were Brahmins. Due to the Brahmin Community residing in the village, the village was named as Gurha Brahmna. The history signifies the name behind the village. While precise historical records about Gurha Brahmna Village are limited. It is believed to have been established during the Dogra Dynasty's rule in Jammu and Kashmir. Traces of the history are evident in the structures and ruins around the village, which reflects the amalgamation of Hindu architectural styles.

The best time to visit the village is in the month of Festivals and In the month of june / july to see the crops growing in the village and in the month of autumn and spring when the weather is most pleasant.
